All bonuses?
I've got 5 irritating bonuses left to get. Dunes of Despair, Dragon's Lair, Thunderhead Keep, Ring of Fire and Abaddon's Mouth. Anyone here completed ALL bonueses yet? Anything special at all occur? I doubt it, but figured I'd check.
Also, I've read that Ring of Fire & Abaddon's Mouth are bugged? I guess this would prevent anyone from finishing all bonuses eh? |

Wel just a FYI the Abaddon's Mouth bonus is definately still bugged. You recuse the spirit from the seal, talk to it, & it just wanders around for about 3 minutes, not following you at all. Then it dissapears says "I can finnally be at peace, thank you!" and you get no reward. Neat. They spend all this time making aspects of the game simpler than they need to be instead of fixing the broken stuff :P oh well, I guess it will be corrected eventually.

I had not yet killed the 2 bosses & 2 seals. She just sort of wandered around, never going near them. She finnaly just vanished saying she could finnaly be at peace...I guess they forgot to put in a failure message or something. I celared most of that mission map, So I have a good idea where she wants to go really.
I've seen posts here from others who said they cleared the whole way for her, and she just wandered randomly then vanished anyhow & they also didnt get bonus. So yesterday I killed the 3 Generals in Dunes of Despair's southern fort for the bonus... it didn't give me the bonus! AAAAGGGGHH! Is this one bugged too? That would leave only Thunderhead Keep & Dragon's Lair as ones I have to do that are known for certain to be working. |

she wanders cuz she doesn't know the way out... just wait for her where you kill the two bosses that are at the exit to the building (AFTER you've cleared out the path to her grave site)

Yuo have to finish the mission to get the bonus in thunderhead after lighting all the beacons.

I have finished all the bonuses at least once, nothing special happened though. They all are doable, most of them (but probably not all) with henchmen only, too.
Dunes of Despair: This one is actually pretty easy. Just don't try it with a PUG. Do it with henchmen. Unlike PUGs henchmen follow calls and don't aggro things you don't want to aggro (if you know how to use Henchmen). Doing Mission and Bonus with henches at the same time can be difficult because of the time limit, though. There are two major advices I can give: 1. Do not let yourself be hurried by the time limit. If you try to rush it you will make mistakes. 2. Do only fight those groups that you can not avoid. Dragon's Lair: OK, this one is obviously NOT easy. I know there are people who did it with like five henchmen only or something like that. The average player will probably not manage to do so, though . The trick here is to know the skills Glint is using. Check guildwiki.org on that. Three things you should bring/take care of: 1. Something to remove hexes. Crystal Haze will mess up your casters. 2. Something to interrupt Crystal Hibernation, so she can't heal. 3. Not more than one tank should attack her when she uses Jagged Crystal Skin. The damage they take will overwhelm the healers. Ring of Fire: Here again the key to success is patience. Lure the Mursaat out of the main gate in small groups. Focus fire on one seal. Retreat often. I never experienced any bugs here myself. Abaddon's Mouth: Like said before: Clear out the whole castle AND the way to that small patch of grass on the weast end of the island BEFORE you free the ghost. Takes a lot of time but is absolutely not difficult. Then just wait for her to walk to her resting place (jes, she will wander around aimlessly for some time, but eventually find the exit). Didn't experience any bugs here, either. Thunderhead Keep: OK, don't have any hints to give here. I don't actually know how I managed to finish this mission with bonus on the first attempt and never bothered attempting the bonus with another char afterwards. I am pretty sure the bonus for the doppelganger is bugged, though. When the fight starts, it says you have to kill him in less than how many was it? 30 seconds? I did so a couple of times with different chars but never got that 1000 XP extra. |

Actually, doppelganger bonus does work, however the +1000 extra Exp does not stack with the 50k or whatever exp you get, thus its very hard to see it because it only flashes for a second or so when the cinematic starts. However, i checked the exp bar and i did get 51k exp

Well I've done all the bonuses and missions on one character and it doesn't do anything aside from making you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Best advice I can give you is if you must do it with real people, get a group of friends together, not all random PUG stuff. If you need someone else then recruit. For Thunderhead Keep, Dragon's Lair, and maybe Dunes of Despair you need a healthy amount of planning and coordination. Oddly enough, when I've done the bonus for Thunderhead Keep I didn't notice an increase in difficulty. If you had a good team that rarely if ever died before, then they shouldn't have problems with a few extra Mursaat. |
